Cuisine.

Our rates include your choice of a freshly cooked or continental breakfast.  Sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea as your breakfast is served in the guest dining room which features stunning views.  Cooked breakfast can range from blueberry pancakes to The Turret’s famous Eggs Benedict.  In season we use our own fruits, herbs and vegetables from our onsite garden.  We also concentrate on fresh, local ingredients, sourced from suppliers who we know are committed to quality and freshness.  Both James and Kim enjoy cooking and in addition, James has a formal culinary degree and is a Member of the NZ Chef’s Association. 

You choose your own time for breakfast; just let us know the night before what time you plan on rising.  If you are an early riser, a continental breakfast will be awaiting you.  From 8 am on you may choose either a cooked or continental breakfast.

Other cuisine options such as dinner and a picnic lunch are available upon request.  James and Kim also take pleasure in dining at the numerous top-rated restaurants around the area and will only recommend restaurants they have frequented and where they know you will have not only a delicious meal but enjoyable experience.   A local favourite for both a stunning meal and excellent wine is Amisfield Winery and Bistro which is only a short walk from The Turret.
