Autumn at the Turret

Autumn is one of the area’s best kept secrets. With warm days and brisk evenings, it is an excellent time to come see the brilliant red and gold fall colors.

The Turret is the ideal place to stay as it is located on Lake Hayes, one of the most photographed lakes in the country.

Autumn, officially from 1 March to 31 May, is known for stable clear weather. Temperatures typically swing from the mid 10’s to the mid 20’s so you could have balmy evening or enjoy a cool evening sitting around our open wood burning fire. There is plenty to do in autumn from walks, to horse rides to visiting the local wineries. In addition to the daily activities, you can also plan your stay around the Arrowtown Autumn Festival and no motorsport fan should miss the Silverstone Queenstown International Race to the Sky held through Easter.
